Even the smallest stride of support can help lift someone out of the shadows and into the light of recovery and resilience.
My name is Stefan Ozich, and last year my brother tragically took his own life.
I'm undertaking an unprecedented journey across New Zealand to raise $1,000,000 for Last Chance Project - a Men's Mental Health charity.
This groundbreaking challenge involves running from the top of New Zealand to the bottom, and back again. Running the entire Te Araroa Trail (twice), I will cover over 6,000 kilometers in 100 days.
With over four years of experience as an endurance athlete, I've completed multiple 100-mile runs, Ironmans, and half Ironmans.
I aim to share the inherent challenges I'll undoubtedly face, both physically and mentally. My hope is that by confronting this suffering, I can shed light on the darkness that many men in New Zealand are experiencing.
